If you ever asked yourselves, how do Maya and Yehuda Devir create "One of those days" illustrations, here is a glimpse of the work process.
Yehuda: "Maya sits right next to me in our studio and we work on the weekly illustrations together. An illustration will only be published with our joint approval. Usually something interesting happens to us, fit for an illustration, afterwards we tighten the concept and do a few composition sketches (by hand or in the computer). Then I sit down and start working. When I finish, Maya adds her suggestions for improvement (color, typography and so on).
We draw in Photoshop software and work on Wacom Cintiq device."
Working with your partner is highly challenging, especially when both of you are artists and each one has their own opinion but there's also a huge benefit.
Maya: "The communication between us is so strong and honest that it contributes a lot to the authenticity and the success of the comics."

This piece honestly reflects those slow, thoughtful workdays where the process matters more than speed. There’s a calm focus to it, much like having a brass Radha Krishna idol for home vastu that helps maintain balance and positivity during work.
I loved getting a behind‑the‑scenes look into how you and your partner create your illustrations. The collaborative process you described feels real, relatable, and very human. I recently saw a mention on a samedaydiplomas review blog https://samedaydiplomas.com/ about balancing commitments and creativity — it resonated with your own insights about teamwork and patience. Keep up the great work — I’m excited to see what comes next!
