The light in the room was soft and yellowish, the kind that lingers on the skin even when you close your eyes. The air conditioner hummed quietly in the background, but Maya felt only the warmth - the warmth of Yehuda.
She wrapped her arms around his neck from behind, her body pressed to his, breath against skin. “Just five more minutes,” she whispered, her lips nearly brushing his ear. “You’re so warm.”

Yehuda smiled a half-smile, the kind born between obligation and desire. His hands gripped her thighs, steady and certain, as if the whole world could wait a little longer if only he held her just right.“Maya…” he said in a low, rough voice. “I really need to go.”
She laughed softly, the sound sliding down his back.“You always say ‘really’ when you don’t mean it,” she replied, her hand tracing a slow line across his chest, lingering, exploring. “Stay.”
He closed his eyes for a second - one second too long.“You know what you’re doing to me,” he said, his fingers tightening - not hard, just enough to make it clear he was there, fully.“Of course I know,” she answered, her gaze playful and sure. “That’s the whole point.”
The room seemed quieter. Time folded in on itself. Their breathing fell into sync.“If I’m late…” he began.“Then come later,” she cut in, her lips touching his - not a full kiss, a promise. “I’ll wait...”
